Mr. Coby Martinez

Mr. Martinez has been in the educational field since 1982. He started with the Torrance Area Youth Bands (Scarlet Regiment Parade and Field Band), Palos Verdes High School as Director of Music, and San Dimas High School as Director of Bands. During his tenure as a Band Director his groups won many awards in parade, field, jazz, and various ensembles.
Mr. Martinez has been a Fine Arts Teacher at Chaparral High School since 2000. He finds being a teacher at Chaparral very rewarding. He enjoys working with students who may have not had the opportunity to learn the guitar, act, sing, or draw in comprehensive high school.
Mr. Martinez has been the recipient of many awards in his career including the prestigious "Stanford's Who's Who", "Marquis Who's Who". and various community service awards.
