Earning Credits/Class policies
Welcome Mr. Hanson's Class!
This web-page is meant to inform you how easy it is to earn credits and to move forward in your academic career. Click on any of the links below for resources needed to complete the class, or simply click here, or on "resources" on the left tab. My goal is that every senior graduates; you simply need the drive and motivation to complete your work on a day to day basis. Here's how we do it!! Tuesday's through Thursday's students will work on an activity which counts as one assignment toward the 12 that they need for their credit. This assignment relates to the learning goal, and is based on a California State Standard for Government or Economics. On Mondays and Fridays, students work individually on Mandatory assignments and make up work on the particular credit they are working toward. Links to each credit are posted on the left of this page. Students can click on these links to view all of the book assignments and projects for each individual credit. Aside from what we do in class each week, students choose from the assignments listed to fulfill their credit obligation of 12 assignments and twelve learning goal entries. |
How do I earn a Credit?
So how do you earn a credit? The answer is simple:
On individual workdays (Mondays and Fridays), you should work on assignments aligned specifically to the credit you are working on. Each credit has one assignment that is mandatory for you to complete before you can earn that particular credit. All other assignments carry with them an amount of assignments credit that generally equates to 1 assignment per hour. Hence if you choose to do a project that requires 2 days of work, or, 2 hours, it would be worth "2 assignments". Worksheets are generally worth 1 assignment a piece (front and back = 1 assignment). |
Attendance and Grading Policy

Attendance:
Any work turned in that is assessed at less than "C" quality, will be returned to the student so that he or she can make corrections to bring it to a "C" level. This will be the grade assigned to that credits. Credit values will be averaged at the end of the semester for the final letter grade equivalent.
